Lotus Domino crashes shared memory

Hi,

I have a Lotus Domino v8.5.3 with very large databases, I have 4 TB of information on this server.

It is a Windows Server 2008 Enterprise x64 (Virtual) with 64 GB RAM

I have Netbackup 7.5.0.6 on RHEL 6 x64.

On several occasions the backup causes a drop mail service, I followed the recommendations of Symantec & IBM.

NSF_BACKUP_MEMORY_CONSTRAINED = 1
NSF_BACKUP_MEMORY_LIMIT = size (optional)

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21211241

In the Lotus Domino Server Transaction logs are configured in "Circular Mode"

We are doing backups finish partially because the database can not be read or opened.

can not open file: Lotus Notes: \ E: \ Lotus \ Domino \ data \ Mail \ mxzgffss.nsf (WIN32 0: Unknown Error)

any ideas?

This may not be related but it may help.......

If Lotus Notes transaction logging is enabled I found that including the both the transaction log directory in lotus notes agent backups and the BACKUP_TRANSACTION_LOGS directive will really upset the L'Notes admins.  That configuration causes Lotus Notes to crash during backups.  Best to only have the BACKUP_TRANSACTION_LOGS directive and omit the  transaction log directory from backups.
