Lotus Notes policie

So about a month ago we had a issue with out IBM3310.  Worked with tech and we deleted and re install the drives etc.

the only Police we have going to this drive was our lotus notes backup.

Of course I never checked and this week we seen the backups have not been running and then Policy Storage to Any Available.

That in my mind should have worked but it keep getting a error 219

It should have defaulted to any of the other storage Policy such has the VTL, or the old tape library but it didn't

Any idea on why this happened and how to fix this issue if it happens again.

If any STU is marked with 'On Demand Only' then it cannot be used with 'Any Available' policy setting.

Please check STU attributes with:

bpstulist -L

and verify policy and schedule attributes with :

bppllist <policy-name> -U

Create Storage Unit Groups rather than relying on Any Available policy setting.

We use storage untis etc we normaly don't use any available I am guessing it switched to this when we deleted the drives to fix the issue we where seeing.

Also checked the VTL storage unit and is isn't set to on demand only so it should have switched. hu.
