MDSP rolling data conversion

Dear Experts!

Our customer want to upgrade NBU environment from 7.7.3 to 8.1.1.
He has 10 Tb MDSP pool data.I read that a conversion process is started the
background.

Questions:

- Do the backup can safely start and the mdsp rolling conversion
is running in the background? Is it safely behaviour?
- If the convert process is crash and stop how can we restart that?
- 8.1 has three hotfixes, one of them is a spoold patch.
Do you suggest to use 8.1.1 (but is 2-3 weeks old) or use 8.1 and patch
the spoold after MDSP conversion is completed?

yes, you can start the new backups with out any issues, rolling data converstion is only for existing data not for new backups.

I would personally go with 8.1 and apply EEB for Spoold,  however it is up to you, what are the features you are goign to use from 8.1.1
