MS-Windows file backup returned error 156

Hi dear all, MS-Windows file backup returned 156 error. based on document its related to VSS configuration on client but I have checked with OS admin and VSS is not configured on the server

You can't do some Windows backups without snapshots, and you can't do snapshots on Windows without VSS. Please share your backup policy details and whether you have WOFB enabled.

Whenever you see the following in the job details, take NetBackup logs on the client to find more information. In this case, you need the bpfis log.

I disabled "windows open file backup for this client" option on client attributes and backups working fine.

Please schedule test restores to ensure that the backup (without WOFB) is good.
