Hi everybody,
I did my best to do some research on this, but the confusing documentation causes headaches. Since we upgraded to 9.1.0.1, we had the idea to enable WORM on our MSDP Linux Media Servers. Long story short, the UI says that the Storage Server is WORM capable, but the disk pool is not. How is this possible? Am I correct that this is only supported in the Flex Appliance and the UI displays this wrong? The Admin Guide is really unclear about this.
big thanks for any information

Correct, as far as I know WORM with NBU storage only works on MSDP located on a WORM Flex storage instance.

Hi
I think that without FLEX you can have WORM in the cloud... but I was not really deep diving into it yet:

You may be right on that (cloud), some 3rd party devices (data domain etc) can provide worm, but within NBU (excluding cloud) you are limited to Flex or tape.

Thanks for the information. I hope they will include this also in BYO Media Server
