Hi
We are planning to migrate the hardware from one MSDP server to another MSDP server (Different Hardware ) (Same host name & IP address - Old server will be ramped down)
Am having an MSDP disk pool in it. What is the procedure of migrating the disk pool from the old server to new server.
Once the new server is built up - we will map the same MSDP LUNs to the new server - then netbackup Media/master server agent will be installed in the new server.,
And then what is the next step to sync the MSDP DP images to this new server???? Can you please help me on this scenario??

Hi Sym Terry,
Thanks for your response.,
TN mentioned is very useful if we have only tape devices & basic/advance disks.,
But my environment has MSDP attached with my media server.,
what is the procedure for it???

The TN in above post is still applicable.
Just skip delete steps of robot and tape drives.
So, step 1, step 3, step 4, step 5, step 7 (ignore MSEO), step 8.
Restart NBU on media server and test comms between master and media server. Verify that media server storage is accessible with nbdevquery.
Run test backups and restores (step 10).
