What version of NetBackup is this media server with the MSDP running?  We have some naming convention issues between uppercase and lower case in 7.5, 7.6 comes with a tool to correct the names in the MSDP mini-catalog as well as not to repeat the issue.

Sorry - we have not seen your initial post...

Have you tried to verify the image?

We see that bpdm on the media server is reporting an error:

12/10/2014 6:23:26 PM - Critical bpdm(pid=5948) image open failed: error 2060001: one or more invalid arguments

Ensure bpdm log folder exists on MSDP media server and increase logging level for this process to 3.

Please also show us the bpduplicate command that you have used or else screenshots of steps performed via the GUI.

PS:
Any reason why you are not using SLPs for backup and duplication?

Thanks Marianne.

Seems there is an issue with the backup image, even we were unable to restore any file from it.,

Is there any way to verify the backup image consistency?

As of now, we had duplicated previous days backup and it gets completed
