Hi
I am planning to upgrade Media server RHELL OS I have one query about this activity
My master server is on RHEL 7.9 with NetBackup 9.1.0.1 and Media server going to upgrade RHEL 8 along with NetBackup application 9.1.0.1. It won't be any problem with if master on 7.9 OS in lower version and Media server on higher version. Folks need your comments and suggestions.

hi @Lucky_Reddy
You are OK. Operating system does not have to be the same level on master and media servers. What count is the OS are listed in the Netbackup Software Compatibility List.

Look for "Red Hat Enterprise Linux - NetBackup Server". Both Enterprise Linux 7 and 8 are listed.

Hi @Lucky_Reddy
I think @Nicolai meant the OS does NOT have to be the same - mixing OS versions and OS types is fine (the critical piece is compatibility between NetBackup versions (with the master always being the same or higher than the media).
However, RHEL 9 is not yet qualified for use with NetBackup (client or server) so your media server, if it is running RHEL 9, is not a supported configuration - can you revert the media server to RHEL 8.x?
