Dear Netbackup Gurus,
is there any rule or guideline, how to find the ideal settings for maximum jobs per client? Of course, it depends on the backup environment. However, what should be taken into account when setting this value?

To my knowledge there is no golden rule besides not setting it too high. And mileage will differ depending on, if it's a VM, physical server or high end UNIX box.
If you overload a backup client with too many concurrent backup jobs, the combined throughput from the client will suffer.
You can set maximum job per client global or per client

From my Netbackup admin days, if I recall correctly I had "Max job per client" set to either 6 or 8
