Hi All,
we need to increase the throughput of our media server.
The backup are storing in the media server local disk but we are getting only the 15 to 30 MBs speed.
plesae suggest us how to increase the backup throughput.
Thanks,
Venkataraman

Depends what is slow?
Reading the filesystem on the client?
The Network between client and media server?
The disk storage end?
What have you done to check these?

Please post up the output from the details tab from Activity Monitor of a job that is slow, but completes successfully.
It basically depends if bptm is waiting for a full or empty buffer.

Hi Appu1985,
You can access and verify below link. This might help you:

Venkat,
Even if you are storing the backup on the local disk the matter of the fact is the backup is done of the servers which are on the network. If you have 1 Gbps connectivity this speed looks good to me.

Backup was 2 minutes 47 from time of writing - how big was the backup selection?
