Migrate catalog from NB3.4 to NB5.1

Hi,
Would like to know if anybody try migrate catalog of NB3.4 to NB5.1 before?
My NB is currently running 3.4 in Win2k. I will install one new server with Win2003 and NB5.1, use the catalog tape of old server and bprecover to the new server. After the bprecover process, just use the cat_convert command to convert the ascii catalog. Would like to know will this method work? Thanks

You cannot upgrade from NB3.4 to NB5.1 as it is not supported.
Veritas supports upgrade from NB4.5GA, 4.5FPX, 4.5MPX or NB5.0 only.

If you wish to upgrade to 5.1 first you will have to upgrade to 4.5s mentioned above and then to 5.1

Mayur is correct.
I am a cautious man so I would also follow the migration plan that Mayur describes for all of the media servers as well as the master server.

The good news though is that for clients you can go directly from 3.4 to 5.x. no problem man.
