Migration from Netbackup 7.5 to 7.6

Any one have a migration script that i can use from netbackup 7.5 to 7.6 to migrate all the policies and catalogs from old system 7.5 to new system 7.6??

No such thing, apart from the catwalk backup.

You need to either upgrade sys1 to 7.6 and then make a casually backup and restore on sys2, or install sys 2 at 7.5 and then upgrade it to 7.6

To move the config etc you take a catalog backup and then restore it to the new system

The rules are, a catalog back can only be restored to.

System with same hostname

Nbu version must be exactly the same

Install path must be the same

Unix > Unix ( or Linux)

Windows > windows

It is possible to go cross platform, eg win to unix, but this can only be done via consulting via a special script which is not available to anyone else (even tech support don't have it).

Catalogs cannot be 'migrated' between 2 NBU masters on different versions. Catalogs can only be upgraded during normal NBU upgrade.
