Most common cases for Automation using NBU API

I am new to NBU API’s. I am currently involved in an opportunity wherein customer asking for most common use cases for automation using NBU API.

Can someone post what actions they automated and how they achieved?

Reporting on cloud assets, auditing which ones are being backed up and which ones aren't. There is an undocumented API that assists with licensing if you want to visualize your capacity license as well. At this point, a lot of it is good for dashboarding in my opinion not so much automation yet.

I'm seeing more and more customers automating the deployment of nbu via ansible; the api's are used to create storage, test policies, etc.

Also seeing customers automating deployment of vm's and then using nbu api's to add vm protection
