Mount Point Issue

Hi,

We have a Linux client and it has a Mount point mounted on it with 15TB and used space is 75GB.

Wheneve a incremental is running it runs above 1TB eventhough the utilized space is 75GB and not sure it will run above 1 TB also we are cancelling the job

and in our Netbackup console when we browse it shows a folder called snapshot and in the servers console it wont show the folder what would be the cause

snapshot folder contains the folders inside the mount point and that creates the same folders followed with the date and note  the changes eventhough it is still 75 GB.

Are you mounting NetApp volumes? If so, exclude .snapshot from your backup unless you want to backup snapshot data.

In addition to above advice, you can create bpbkar log folder on the Linux client. Increase logging level to 3.

Next backup will show all file names being backed up in the resulting log.

Ohh great i understand the issue Does snapshot folder is mandatory to backup because it keeps the snapshot inside the storage and we are taking the backup of the same folder.

snapshot or taking that directory is fine right.
