NBAC failure after NBU 7.6.0.1 upgrade

What was the resolution to this issue? I am experiencing the same exact issue with an upgrade from 7.1.0.4 to 7.6.0.1. 

NBAC was working as expected in 7.1.0.4, but after the upgrade to 7.6.0.1 I get the error "unable to retrieve the version of the server <master serever name>" when opening the administration console. Setting USE_VXSS to PROHIBITED allows the console to open.

I have had a case open with Symantec for a week now, but so far no luck with finding a resolution, so far their suggestion has been to install 7.6.0.3 and 7.6.0.4. Obviously that solution would have been too easy, so ofcourse it didn't resolve the issue.

Get back to this support engineer and ask for your case to be escalated to backline.
You need a backline engineer specializing in NBAC. (There are not many of those around...)
