NBU 5.1 and ACSLS 6.0.1

I am planning to upgrade my NBU 4.5 FP 3 installation to 5.1.
I have 1 master and 4 media servers using an STK 9710 library with dlt7000 drives. I currently have ACSLS 6.01 running to control the library. Anyone else using ACSLS 6.0.1 wiht NBU 5.1? Anyone know of nay problems with this configuration? Other than ACSLS 6.0.1 being really old?

I don't have any personal experience with your config but found this on the compatibility page:

ACS control on Windows NT, 2000 and 2003 requires LibAttach software from STK. Support for ACSLS 7.1 starting with NB_45_6_F NB_50_1_M.

Support for ACSLS 7.0 starting with NB_45_5_M, NB_45_5_F NB 5.0.

Support for ACSLS 6.1.1 starting with NB_45_5_M, NB_45_5_F, NB_34_5 NB_341_5.

Support for ACSLS 6.1 starting with NB_45_2_M, NB_45_3_F, NB_34_4 NB_341_4.

It is also noted that NBU testing for 5.1 was done with version 1.9.52

Hope that helps

All is ok with this.

Keep in mind that if you are using SSO, you will need the following parameters in vm.conf on all your media servers

ACS_TCP_RPCSERVICE
ACS_SSI_INET_PORT = 0

Good Luck!

Besides being old, it's also been EOL'd by StorageTek. I would double-check that they will still support your configuration before you bring it into production. Besides, ACSLS 7.1 is MUCH nicer, lots of fixes to annoying bugs, and some much needed new logging entries for the acsls_event.log file.
