Dear All,

we have a lun larger then 2TB and want to use  NBU to backup this lun.

We have a master server running on windows 2003 the versio of NBU =  6.5.4

The client is a windows 2008 machine with NBU 6.5.3.1

the policy type = MS-Windows-NT

The client properties can be openend from the master, but when a backup is attempted it ends with status code 13 = file read failed.

thanks in advance!

As far as I can see, GPT is supported as from 6.5.2a, except for BMR option.

Snapshot creation failed, therefore bpbkar was not initiated.

In Master server Host Properties Select Master -> Client Attributes.

see if this client name exists in the client list. If not, VSP will be used for snapshot.

If Client name appears in the list, select client and check WOF option -  select VSS. If snapshot creation still fails, try to disable WOF for this client.

To troubleshoot snapshot issues, you need bpfis log on client.

Also confirm that master can connect successfully to client. From cmd:

<install-path>\veritas\netbackup\bin\admincmd\bptestbpcd -client <client-name>

Please post contents of Details tab for this job.

Also ensure bpbkar log exists on this client. Post log as attachment after failure.
