I'm due to carry out a DR test shortly in an isolated room on same brand/model/spec hardware using NetBackup 6.5.4 (will not be using w2koption after reading the restore guide for servers due to the 99.999% similar rate). All servers are Windows Server 2003 32bit, however the two DCs are Windows Server 2008 32bit and am unable to locate an active directory restore process on the Symantec site.
It's been quite a while since I've done a DR recovery and have never done it with a 2008 domain controller before but am sure you still need to use DSRM at some point and make the AD authoritative. The backups include 'Shadow Copy Components' and 'System State' as selections.
All the guides on the site that seem relevant are for Backup Exec - can someone point me in the right direction to an article?
The closest guide I can find is below, however it does not mention the AD restore process.
