NBU 7.01 - Windows 2008 R2 Roles for GRT

I am using NBU 7.01 and am setting up Granular Recovery Technology backups for our Win2008R2 DCs.  Per the instructions, I am adding the "Services for Network File System" role but we have already enabled the "File Server" role in which the instructions say to remove (uncheck).  Does anybody know if there is an issue with having both the "File Server" and "Service for Network File Systems" roles enabled when performing GRT backups on DCs?

Hi Scott,

 

I did an install last week where the flle services had already been installed. I can't recall exactly which component was enabled underneath it, but i just added "services for network file system".

 

I would suspect the guides says you should unselect it as its not required by NetBackup, but automatically selected as soon as you select file services.

 

The GRT is working fine.
