NBU 7.5 on Windows 2012 Server

Hi All,

I've got a question about NBU support for Windows Server 2012. I'm trying to install 7.5GA as NBU client on a 2012 server but the installation routine fails towards the end.

From what i've understood so far 7.5GA isn't supported and that being the case i can appreciate it may not be installable.

However the compatiability guide states the there is support for WS 2012 in NBU 7.5.06 but as this is a maintenance patch it requires 7.5GA to be installed first. Can anyone advise me on this? Is their a way to get the installation media with the patch slipstream or a manual process to do so?

Any help with this is appreciated.

This deliverable provides support for Symantec NetBackup (tm) Client on Windows 2012 Server and Windows 8 Client.

This is a perfect example of how it is sometimes quicker to get an answer to a question using the Community forum than it is to use the support route.
