Hi all,
someone use this configuration with Option synthetic backup enabled ?
I seem that synthetic backup does not work, and the performance does not encrease respect to the normal backup.
thank you for any experience,
regards

I dont see any support for Optimised Syntheic (Opt_Synth) with the StoreOnce in the hardware compatibility list so perhaps that is why it will not work .. though i would expect non-optimised to work.

In case anyone else wants to look, the link for the NetBackup HCL for HP StoreOnce with Unix (i.e. for the OP's NBU 7.6.1 and AIX), is here:

Hello,
I have contacted HP support and they confirm me that "Synthetic Backup" is not supported and they suggest me to use "Accelerator".
I configured for this feature but does not work fine. HP support suggest me to install a beta release plugin 1.5 but still does not work. It is embarassing, StoreOnce is acerb product and by now I hate it.

Not sure where this plugin version 1.5 is coming from.
NBU HCL says that Accelerator is supported with plugin version 3.1 and later.
Always a good idea to look at HCL plus ask for POC before making such an expensive purchase....

sorry I am wrong, the beta plugin version is 3.1.5 ( before we had 3.1.3)
Marianne I prefer don't say you how HP is succeed to enter to the client :)
