hi Folks

Any idea which package would be applicable for Oracle Linux 5.8

I got following binaries from fileconnect

NetBackup_7.6.0.1_CLIENTS1.tar

NetBackup_7.6.0.1_CLIENTS2.tar

NetBackup_7.6.0.1_LinuxR_x86_64.tar

Searched all of them , but couldn't find packages for OLE

PS: i tried installing with all of this, and got error of linux agent not found

ALL Client binaries for supported Linux OS's can be found in CLIENTS2 download package.

If this is not working for you, you need to check compatibility.
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH76648

Have you confirmed that this client is 64-bit OS?
32-bit is no longer supported.

Have you checked output of 'uname -a'?
And 'release' file in /etc?

Oracle Linux 5 also contains a text file called /etc/redhat-release.

Adding on to what Marianne already said, according to the Operating Systems Compatibility List, the client selection for Oracle Linux 5 - assuming it's 64-bit - is "Linux/RedHat2.6.18"

which resulted 2nd file was never merged at all...
