NBU Master Server on Win 2012 R2?

I'm looking through the OS compatibility list found in TECH76648 and I'm not seeing Win 2012 R2 as an option for a 7.6.0.1 Master/Media Server, just client backups. For some reason I have it stuck in my head this was/is a supported configuration.  If this is not a currently supported Master/Media Server configuration have they made any announcement of when it will be supported? I'm trying to plan a master server migration to new hardware and really would prefer to have the latest and greatest OS so I don't have to revisit this sooner. :)

Thanks!

R2 is not shown as an option yet, only 2012 - yet it is listed as supported for clients

This implies that R2 is yet to be supported for 7.6

I am sure i checked this out for someone previously and R2 was not yet supported as a Master Server.

#EDIT#

Just checked some partner docs and it is not due for 7.6.0,.2 either - set as "future" for Media Sever - so dont hold your breath just yet!

Do we even know if this master/media server support is on the road map for 7.6.0.2?

Just edited my post above - it is on the road map but not for 7.6.0.2 - sorry!

When looking at the Sort tool for 7.6.0.1, only 2012 is listed as an option:

OS CPU Architecture OS Bits NetBackup Master Server NetBackup Media Server NetBackup Bits BMR Server NBAC OpsCenter Server OpsCenter Managed Server NDMP Minimum NetBackup 7.X Level
Windows Server 2012 x86-64 64 Y Y 64 Y Y Y Y Y 7.6

The NetBackup 7 OS compatibility guide (TECH76648says in on pg 3:

    Added Client support on Windows 2012 R2 x64 2013-11-15 7.5.0.6

I will try to find an answer of what version will start support for 2012 R2 from enginiering.

Thanks SymTerry. I'm a little disappointed to have to sit on this longer but I appreciate the info.
