Hi Fellow Forumers,
We are planning to upgrade our NBU environment. Currently the version is 7.1 running on Redhat Linux. NBAC is also configured on their NBU.
Now the scenario.
We need to upgrade the NBU master to 7.1 and we need to retained the NBAC without reconfiguring it after the NBU upgrade.
What will be our procedure to retained the NBAC?
Thanks in advance...

Upgrading NBAC is pretty straight foward.
From the Symantec NetBackup 7.5 Security and Encryption Guide (Same will apply for 7.6):
Note: If NBAC is enabled, it is upgraded as part of the NetBackup upgrade. Refer
to the NetBackup Install and Upgrade Guide for instructions about how to upgrade
NetBackup. Make sure that current AT and AZ services are running when the
upgrade is performed. If NetBackup is running in a cluster sever, make sure that
both services are running in the active node where NetBackup is running and the
upgrade is performed. The following procedure describes how to upgrade NetBackup Access Control
(NBAC).Upgrading NetBackup Access Control (NBAC)
1 On the master server, stop NetBackup.
2 Upgrade NetBackup.
On the media servers and client computers, first stop NetBackup and then
upgrade NetBackup. Note that the shared authentication and authorization
packages are no longer used on media servers and client computers. These
products can be removed if no other Symantec product is using them.
Here is the NetBackup 7.6 upgrade guide.

Theres an upgrade thread on the forum about folks experiences, take a look at that.
Cant comment on nbac not being a user of it: what does the upgrade guide say about it?
