NBU client installation issue on LINUX machine

Hi  Team,

I  am  using NetBackup Version :  7.6.0.4

Trying to install 7.6.0.1  on LINUX machine

Using binary file

NetBackup_7.6.0.1_CLIENTS2.tar.gz


Performed below  steps :

    1.  tar -zxvf  NetBackup_7.6.0.1_CLIENTS2.tar.gz

    2.  cd NetBackup_7.6.0.1_CLIENTS2

    3.  ./install

    4.   Installation process  asked  to  enter  no 1  for  LInux

   5.   Enter no 1 , It  again prompt  us  for  choice   and  it continuiosly  prompt  for  choice

   6.    We  observed  same  thing  after  renaming folder NetBackup_7.6.0.1_CLIENTS2

 

  Kindly  help  on  the  same.

Confused, why do you need another copy of the tar.gz?  Nothing wrong with the one you have (other than fuzzy directions).

And, no, you do not need to rename the folder. 

As I said above after 1<enter>, type q<enter>, and the installation will proceed.

Which Linux platform and version exactly? What is in /etc/*release*?
