If you click on the "Help" button, it gives you an idea of what those affect. the "General" setting controls all the logged output from the NBU processes running on the client (bpbkar, etc.):
General |
Controls the amount of information that NetBackup writes to the troubleshooting logs. The level can be set to 0 (default), 1, or 2. The higher the level, the more information that is written to the log. |
Verbose |
The level can be set from 0 (default) to 5 (maximum). Use the default level of 0 unless advised otherwise by technical support . Higher levels can cause the logs to accumulate large amounts of information. |
TCP |
Enables TCP debugging. The level can be set as follows: 0 - No TCP/IP functions are logged (default) 1 - Logs basic TCP/IP functions 2 - Logs all TCP/IP functions, including all read and write requests 3 - Logs the contents of each read and write buffer
Flush |
Specifies how often NetBackup flushes the progress reports on NetBackup operations (or writes the buffer to disk). The level can be set to 0 (default), 1, or 2. The higher the value, the more often the buffer is written to disk. |
Database |
Controls the amount of information that NetBackup Database Extensions write to their log files. The level can be set from 0 (default) to 9. The higher the level, the more information is written. |
