NBU7 unable to push Client install from Windows MasterServer

Hi,

Right after installing a brand new NetBackup7 test environment on a windows 2008R2 x64 machine,
I try to start the client installer in order to push client to some other machines.

From the DVD, I click the "Client Software Installation" link and get "NetBackup Client
Installation is not supported on 64-bits systems that have a NetBackup Server package installed".

I'm little bit disapointed not being able to start the installer in order to push the Client to
other machines despite I read that Windows Client could be pushed from a media server.

Is that related to the fact my server is both a master + media server?
Did I catched something?

Regards

I've seen that too, just get the install media onto one of your clients, then install it to the others from that system. It silly I know..

You're attempting to run the client install on the server. Try running  %CDROM%\PC_Clnt\x64\Setup.exe off of the CDROM drive.

in the Windows NB 7.0 release software:

"...
Remote Installation

Remote installations can only be done using Windows machines using
      32 bit i386 processors.
[[my highlight]]

      1. Insert the NetBackup Client setup media.
      2. Execute the program Launch.bat.
      3. Follow the prompts
      4. Refer to the Remote Installation Instructions in the NetBackup for
Microsoft Windows Client Chapter in the "NetBackup
Installation Guide - PC Clients" for additional installation
         instructions.

Thanks Andy,

I voted +1 as you pointed something I don't pay attention at first.

As documentation says it is not possible to push from a X64 machines,
I consider that the solution is currently to do installations from a 32 bits
machine! (as per suggested above).

Hi Riaan,

Thank you for the suggestion (I voted +1 for this). Sorry not considering this as a solution.
I really want pushing Client from MasterServer unless I'm told that ther is an error either
in the documentation or in the setup code.

I will wait a little bit more for other guru's answers.

Addition:

It looks this is currently THE solution as the documentation says it is not currently
possible to push Client from X64 machines (see Andy answers below)
