what is the type of storage unit you are using,,ndmp or media manager...check if the corresponding drive paths are up or down..

It is using NDMP type STU. Is there any command that I can run to let you know the results?

You can try this command to view status from any media and master server.
#cd /usr/openv/volmgr/bin/
#./vmoprcmd -dp -h <media server name>

Possible issue can be about drive density...
Is it possible for you to reboot the library and check the results
