Greetings,
Here is another one.
Have a Master server with several ndmp storage clients that are offline and will not go online.
When online is selected, nothing changes. No error message or code.
When checking the policy configuration for the ndmp clients, the policy type field is blank and when trying to select ndmp, that option is no longer a choice.
Everything was running for the last 90 days. Unsure of what could have effected the Master server.
Has anyone ever had anything similar happen and what to try?
Running Windows server 2008 OS with NetBackup 7.5
Thanks,
Glenn

Once again, what Netbackup version and OS of master server?
Did you check whether the NDMP license (of Netbackup) is still valid and not expired?

I think watsons is correct.
You may have been running eval license that has expired.
Check output of bpminlicense on the master:
...\VERITAS\NetBackup\bin\admincmd>bpminlicense -list_keys -verbose

watsons and Marianne,
Thank you very much.
A check of the NDMP license shows that it expired last month. A bit confusing since the NDMP devices were still backing up this week. Why? Perhaps there is a grace period that passed or more probable the server was rebooted and the expiration took effect?
No warning message or alert. Nothing in the log.
Thanks again!
Note: very useful command Marianne
