You need consult the storage admin and inspect the syslog. It's the NDMP device that report the error.

Volume could exist, but whether it's export out correctly is another question.

On Netbackup side, it needs to be able to view and access the volume to back it up. Check your credential to the export path of your volume as well.

from there side , all volumes have been correctly configured and everythiig seems to be fine from the storage end , should i enable any logging ndmp logging and enable the backup again ?

i am able to autenticate the filer from the backup server without any issues , using root  password

Here we using another account to backup from NDMP.

You have to check the path to each volume and add in the backup selections like /vol/volume01

In Netbackup your Media need access to NDMP host, you always use one Media Server like NDMP host, see in Devices > Drives.

Your post with 'Include list for the policy ..' does not show any data.

Please post policy config by running this command on the master:

bppllist <policy-name> -U

Backup selection example is:

/vol/vol1

Thank you All , seems we had 2 versions of the volumes put into production , this is what i have from my storage team now .

"Actually this will be target volume after migration. You can disable these volume backup policy now and start backup once we had start using these volumes."

I will restart the backups once i get a heads up that these are into prodcution  .

thank you Watson , thiago rahman , and marianne for the replies  .
