I have been reading the Netbackup 6.0 Operations Manager Getting Started Guide Revision 1, and I have a couple of questions I hope someone can answer:
On page 14, it states that there is no support the 64 bit for Windows Server 2003 SP1 as on OS that the application can be installed over. Is there a version of the NOM down the line that will allow for 64 bit support when using a WIN2K3 SP1 64 bit OS. On page 17 it states that there is no 64 bit support for Netbackup servers management or monitoring. Will this change in the near future, and if so, how soon?
We have a number of servers in our enterprise that will be Windows 2003 64 bit for the OS, as well as servers to be monitored that are not 2K3, but are 64 bit. Is there a work-a-round we can use so that we will be able to monitor our 64 bit file/print servers using the NOM?
