Hi Friends,
We would like to install Netbackup 7.1 in Windows server 2008 r2 to take backup of Exchange and SQL server files/folders to SAN and then to Autoloader tapes. Please provide the screenshots and what is the best way/steps to implement Netbackup setup.
Regards
Santhosh

Would receommend NBU 7.5.3.
Steps are too complex for the forum. Folow the install guide and manuals for agents (eg sql).

Presuming below things are in place
NetBackup Master/Media Server, Client (SQL/Exchange) and back end storage, and Tape Auto loader must be connected to same SAN switch
Get Enterprise Client License key from Symantec and add it on master server
Zone Tape auto loader to Client (HBA connectivity must be there, Refer HCL for support HBA)
Deploy NetBackup Media Server
Add Enterprise Client Key on media server
Configure tape devices
From Master server configure backup policy and select New Media server as Destination Storage Unit
NetBackup activity monitor doesn't show difference in textual form on data transport in case it's SAN media server. Transport type would still show as LAN under job details
Don't panic
Simply review network utilization (you'll surprise minimal utilization but still backup is happening). Time to check utilization on SAN switch.
Hope this helps
