Need help in NetBackup 7 Licensing.

Hello Friends,

I need help in licensing the NetBackup7. Please check the below mentioned infrastructure & suggest what licenses I need to purchase.

1. 1 X Exchange 2010 Server

2. 1 X SQL Database Server (Windows)

3. 1 X Oracle Server (Windows)

4. 1 X Active Directory Server.

Hi,

normally NB licenses are based on CPU installed i single server. My assumption is that all servers are with 2 cpu installed.

you required the following licenses,

NetBackup Application & Database Pack, Windows, Linux, Solaris x64 Tier 2 = Quantity 4

Along with you required 1 NetBackup Standard server and Tape drive license.

I'll suggest you to discuss your requirements with local symantec partner so that they can suggest solution according to your need.

Thnx, one more question.

Do I have to purchase any license for Exchange Database backup?

I guess Oracle & SQL can be backed up by 2 Application & Database pack license.
