I need to take OS backup for Linux & AIX server. Can anyone help me which is the best way for taking backup of OS.

Similar to Windows, but with Standard Policy type.

Add 
ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES
to Backup Selection.

Create exclude_list for database location if applicable.

Else create policy for each client and add mount points to Backup Selection.

Ok will try taking backup with ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES & exclude the database.

Can we take BMR backup ? if yes any documents for reference.

For AIX nim might be worth looking at for system backup, especially if you are using PowerVM. At least last time I looked at BMR for AIX, Netbackup did not support PowerVMs.
