NetBackup 7.0.1 backups of Exchange 2010

testing in the lab the GRT for Exchange 2010. Master/Media server is Solaris 10/NetBackup 7.0.1 and Exchange 2010, standalone server, is on Windows 2008R2 server. The MS-Windows policy is working fine, but MS-Exchange-Server is failing with Status 26. Here is the part of bpbrm log that shows that:

any ideas. Netbackup client service account has full access to the Exchange . Turned off all firewalls.

Is client on 7.0 or 7.0.1?

If on 7.0, please upgrade to 7.0.1 - bug in 7.0 causing status 26:

Symantec has acknowledged that the above mentioned issue (Etrack 1955375) is present in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned at the end of this article. Symantec is committed to product quality and satisfied customers. This issue was scheduled to be addressed in the following release:

  • NetBackup 7.0 Release Update 1 (7.0.1)

What is the hostname under client tab in backup policy?

You need to Update to new release 7.0.1 , kindly see the link for release notes.
