I'm very pleased to announce that a new Maintenance Release for NetBackup 7.1 is now available!
In addition to many bug fixes, NetBackup 7.1.0.2 contains several changes that can improve restore performance and rehydration performance. This feature offers the following enhancements:
- Rehydration improvements for deduplicated files
- Environmental factors that affect rehydration performance
- Changes and updates to the deduplication tuning parameters that affect restore performance and rehydration performance
- Editing the ReadBufferSize parameter
- NetBackup tuning

This is a MAINTENANCE Release (as opposed to a Release Update) - it can ONLY be applied on top of NetBackup 7.1. (If you are running 7.0 or 7.0.1, you will need to upgrade to 7.1 before you can apply 7.1.0.2.)
Please note that maintenance releases are CUMULATIVE - that means that 7.1.0.2 contains all product fixes included in BOTH 7.1.0.1 and 7.1.0.2. If you are currently running NetBackup 7.1, you may apply the 7.1.0.2 maintenanace release without installing 7.1.0.1. In fact, if you are still running NetBackup 7.1, we would HIGHLY encourage applying 7.1.0.2!
