NetBackup 7.1.0.3 - SystemState backup very slow

 

Backup of Windows SystemState is very slow, same problem with w7/w2k8/w2k8 R2...
 
NBU W2k8R2 Netbackup 7.1.0.3 (same client version)
 
Example client W2k8 ...
 
Policy MS-Windows - Backup Files only = 4.68gb/m
Policy MS-Windows - Backup SystemState only = 180mb/m
 
 
 
Backup Files W2008 = 200gb 43 Minutes
Backup SystemState W2008 = 9.5gb 55 Minutes
 
 
Why?
 
No errors in log.

i remote upgrade client to

i remote upgrade client to 7.1.0.3 but NBU detect client 7.1 (mmmmm....), y uninstall local clients and reinstall client 7.1 and upgrade local to 7.1.0.3. NBU detect client version 7.1.0.3 on client and relaunch backup task and performance systemstate is best..

before= 180mb/m

After= 450mb/m

But no compare with file backup 4.8gb/m

I can only guess, as this is common to your Win7 and Win 2008 clients that it is related to the fix Symantec did a little while ago

As you are on 7.1.0.3 this fix should be included but the tech note does imply that the System State (Shadow Copy Components I assume you mean on these clients) is slow to back up:
