open the "backup archive and restore" from the master server and go to File -> specify netbackup machines and policy type.

server to use for backups and restores: sould be your master server. DO NOT CHANGE IT.
source client for restores: test1 (press the add client to add it to the list)
destination client for restores: the new client name (press the add client to add it to the list)
policy type: the policy type of the backup

press ok -> select the files you want to restore and press the action/ restore.

You select a different Client name as Destination in the BAR GUI.

Same answer as above but a diffrent pice of documentation :

TECH NOTE: Redirecting a restore to a different client

http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO89602

Besides that the Netbackup Admin manual has on page 1140 (chapter 34) a section called "Managing client backups and restores" go to page 1142 - About client-redirected restores

http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC6452

Do you still have valid, unexpired backups for Test1?

What was the name used in Clients tab of the policy that used to backup this client?

Remember that

Test1 != test1 != Test1.FQDN

If you open Windows Explorer and navigate to ...\Veritas\Netbackup\db\images

Can you see a folder for Test1?

Can you see 10-digit folders under the client folder?

Are you opening the BAR GUI from the client or from the master server?

If you are trying from the destination client, probably the error is OK.

Always use the master server GUI (or any other administrator's clients GUI)
