Hi,
We are planning to upgrade our NetBackup 7.5.0.4 to 7.6.0.1 and my question is: Do we have to make any changes to our Oracle RMAN-scripts and policies for running Oracle backups or can we stay as-is with the scripts/policies until we choose later to go with the new functions and features for Oracle in 7.6 ?

You can still run the script option. Oracle Intelligent Polices are not enforced.

I can vouch for the fact it is true in practise having done precisely the same upgrade and no mods made to Oracle policies, specifically templates in my case.

I can only suggest you look into NBU ORA IP - there are some great improvement. But there is nothing that prevent you from doing a slow-paced conversion.
