I've installed NetBackup 7 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 server. I'm using an LSI SAS3442E-R HBA and an IBM TS2340 SAS tape drive.
The problem is that I can't create a volume on the tape in order to run a backup.
I also try to run a diagnostic on the tape drive and get the following error during the "Drive Information" step:
"Unable to allocate resources for diagnostics"
I also had the same problems with a Quantum Ultrium 4 SAS tape drive. I saw that the Quantum drive was not supported by NetBackup hence the IBM tape drive. I've also update the SAS HBA driver and firmware to the latest versions on LSI's website.
Thanks,
Chris
