So I build a test environment on Windows 2016 and NetBackup 8.1, created one policy for VMware backup over NBD (I use manual selection for clients and primary VM identifier is "VM display name") and after some playing I've run a capacity report (nbdeploutil --gather --capacity).
Now into the report, on "Itemization" page, instead of client name i have the "Instance UUID" name from vcenter ... Is this a new "feature" and I have to guess the client name?

Hello,
I have reviewed one of my recent reports and it behaves the same. Additionally, there are two records for each VMware client, one with DisplayName for pre-8.1 backup, one with UUID for 8.1 backup. I think it is a bug.

The official answer from Veritas is that this is normal behaviour and if you are using VMware policies the client name is replaced with the instance UUID. If you redeploy the VM 100 times, you will have 100 different lines in the report as each VM redeployed will have a different instance uuid.
