NetBackup 8.2 catalog import

Hello Team,

Can an NetBackup 8.2 environment import NetBackup 7.7.3 backup images and/or 7.7.3 catalog data ?

Environment: NetBackup 8.2 on NBU Master running Red Hat 7/8 using DDBoost 3.4.2.2 writing to EMC Data Domain DDos 6.2.1.0 disk storage units

Yes and no :)

Yes -> So for sure NBU 8.2 can import (by mean phase I and phase II) any backup image created using earlier NBU release.

No -> NBU 8.2 cannot 'import' or better word for this recover NBU catalog from other release - NBUDB catalog recovery is only supported on the same NBU version and patch level.
