Has anyone had any luck installing NetBackup Client on FreeBSD 10 (FreeBSD 10.1 more specifically)?

You probably already know this, but FreeBSD 10 is not yet listed in the O/S Compatibility List and is not certfied as a NetBackup client.

I usually get nervous when I see anything that says 'Free'...

Yeah!

I was able to un-tar the client_bin.tar.gz, manually configured, renamed some files and both bpcd and vnetd do run in FreeBSD 10.  (I was able to backup and restore using the Netbackup server).  PBX would not run (core dump).

I tried the same on FreeBSD 10.1, but bpcd and vnetd do not run at all:

# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/vnetd -standalone -debug
19:42:25.979 [42533] <32> daemon_lock: ManageReadableLockFile(/usr/openv/var/vnetd/vnetd.lock) failed: -1
19:42:25.979 [42533] <8> main: [vnetd.c:439] daemon_lock failed, retval=158, VNETD_LOCKPATH=/usr/openv/var/vnetd/vnetd.lock
EXIT status = 158
19:42:25.979 [42533] <16> main: EXIT status = 158

The .lock file gets recreated after deleted..

I was hoping someone else may have had better luck.

Thanks you!
