I have recently been trying out the NetBackup Agent for Enterprise Vault. My initial backup of EV was successful. This was a full backup which used the EV_SITE directive. However as the EV site was very large (>2TB) I didn't want to run a full EV_SITE backup nightly.
I created 3 policies:
1) The Monthly full EV_SITE policy - which runs on the 1st of the month
2) A Open Partitions policy - which backs up the EV_OPEN_PARTITIONS and EV_INDEX_LOCATIONS directives. This runs as an incremental Monday to Friday and a Full on Saturday.
3) A DB policy which backs up the EV_MONITORING_DB and EV_DIR_DB in full Monday to Saturday.
The 1st policy seems fine. However the other 2 keep failing with an error 71. It doesn't happen every time. The DBs policy will fail at least once a night, then retry and complete successfully. The EV_OPEN_PARTITIONS directive seems to fail only when attempting to back up \EV Vault Store (Mailbox Vault Store)\Vault Store DB (....)\
and
\EV Vault Store (Journaling Vault Store)\Vault Store DB (....)\
The NetBackup Client service is logged in as the EVAdmin account. The EV Server is v7.5 and the NBU client is v6.5.4.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
