NetBackup Exclude List

centaurtcs
Not applicable

Hi

I have 4 different servers on which symantec net backup is installed . I need to exclude *.trn  from all these four netbackup client properties. Now i do not want to manually enter all these servers and exclude those from the list individually. can i do it using one server only for all 4 servers?

Exclude List is saved in the registry of each NBU Windows client and in text file on Unix/Linux clients.

So, you need to add Exclude List to each client.

If you dont want to go to each server and do it, you can do it in the host properties of each client from Netbackup admin console.

SymGuy-IT,

Unless something changed, that only works for Windows clients.  On a UNIX/Linux host you still have to edit the exclude_list on each one.

It hasn't changed but the requester has mentioned the OS as Windows so I gave Windows specific answer. But point to be noted.
