NetBackup Master Server on Windows, Unix client problem

Hello everyone,

I have Veritas NetBackup installed on a Windows 2003 Server that works fine with several Windows clients.  However, I now need to backup 2 Solaris 10 servers with SAP installed on them.  We have purchased the Unix client and also the SAP client.  However, I can't make the Unix client appear in my list of clients on the Windows server.  Is there a special way to do this?

I assume you have installed the client software on the unix server and updated the bp.conf and /etc/hosts to contain the Master server?

Then you should just be able to add the unix client into a policy. I would recommend creating a different policy for unix than windows due to the Policy Type setting.
