Hello Team,

I have a NetBackup Master running on Linux,NB 7.5.0.4v . One of the client server ,oracle parent stream failing with error  code 29,however all child streams are success.Same is happening for Online & Archive backups

Client : WIN2003server,NB 7.5.0.4v

Below given the logs o/p,

bphdb\oracle_stdout:

Sending D:\scripts\LOG\rman_fullbackup_TC1.log to nroracle@csc.com
Subject: RMAN FULL BACKUP REPORT : xyzDBSCPH123V
Login name is TC1_xyzDBSCPH123V@xyz.com
The SMTP server does not like the name nroracle@csc.com.
Have you set the 'To:' field correctly, or do you need authorization (-u/-pw) ?
The SMTP server response was -> 554 Relay rejected for policy reasons.

it looks like your mail notification is not working...need some authorization it seems..

to confirm this.. just remove/comment the mail notifications entires in Rman script and try the backup, if that got successull you need to fix the error that is listed by the mail server.

I agree so much with Nagalla. Almost all MTA (mail servers) today require a valid to address AND return address within the organisation.

I see a dot to much in the email address - it end with .com.
