Hi,

We are planning to do a POC with one of our customers. Is it possible to conduct a POC with an 8-core (single proc) CPU master server?

We can provide at least 32GB RAM

Thanks!!

Form my point of view:

It depends on what exactly you want to POC: performance or functionality?

If functionality - yes, go ahead.

If performance - go through the Planning and Performance guide to ensure best possible environment.

Its fine, however, NetBackup prefers socket over cores. So if you have 8 cores, NetBackup would have the following preference from best to acceptable

4 x Dual Core

2 x Quad Core

1 x Octa Core
