Hi,
I just want to ask if how can we verify the duplicated data in the cloud if is recoverable or to test restore from cloud.
Our scenario
Master Server Physical , Media Server (NBU Appliance) and Cloud Storage (for the offsite copy)
We have SLP - the primary is NetBackup Appliance (MSDP-C) and the Secondary is Cloud.
I think we can't make a test restore a backup using secondary, it will still use the primary. If is possible, how?
We also want to know how do we actually know that our duplicated data in the cloud is on healthy status or recoverable?
Thanks,

hi @Hypeka
You are right, Netbackup always restore from the primary copy. But you can promote a secondary/tertiary backup copy as the primary copy.
Using the GUI : https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100016222
Or using the command line : https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/doc/123533878-127136857-0/v123535850-127136857
Netbackup bprestore command also accept a copy number qualifier using -copy see:

Restore testing is a key in determining data can be restored.
