We have problem with recovering of database, Need recommendations about using the pre-fetching (transaction logs enabled) regarding our environment, MS solaris 10, version 6.5.5, Client SW version 6.5.5 windows2003 with domino 8.5.x. What are recommendations for LOTUS_NOTES_LOGCACHESIZE?

Problem is that if we do full backup and then incremental backup with translogs enabled - recover is not successfully, we are able only recover from Fullbackup and then from incremetal backup with transaction logs dissabled..So after the incremental backup has run the transaction logs are not processed correctly and longer during the restores. What causes the problem?

There is no recommendation in the NBU for Notes Admin Guide.

It merelely says the following:

LOTUS_NOTES_LOGCACHESIZE
The maximum number of logs that can be prefetched in a single restore job during
recovery. Specify a value greater than 1.

Maybe log a call with Symantec Support w.r.t. your restore problems?

They will probably need verbose tar logs.
